I had a coworker that liked to call me Terrance for a while. It didn't bother me, but after a few days, I started calling him Davey. That must have hit a nerve because Dave stopped calling me Terrance the next day. True story tp
Actually it's the other way around. James is derived from the Hebrew name Jacob. So is Diego believe it or not.
I was "James" to the nuns in grade school. Jim, and Jimmy to everyone else...except when my older brother-in-law was present. He was also a "Jim". So, I became "Little Jim" in that situation..
Another James/goes by Jim here I was fun in college, a small group of us Jim's would frequently pass by each other in various places, so everyone around got to relish in the seemingly unending series of "Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim" as we greeted each other in passing. Not sure what you'd call a group of 4 Jim's, I think we would have had to have 12 or more to qualify as a Jimboree Also it's fun watching my wife react at "official" moments, such as last week going through the airport (my first time ever flying, went mostly well), as my official name is James, so I had to remember to say that, she just finds it weird though haha
Lets give this thread a resurrection !! My father is Senior, I am Junior and My oldest is the third. We have a full trilogy going on.
Not Jim, but I've got you beat by two generations. I'm IV (4th) and my son is V(5th). We are the only two alive though.
