  2. This shave reminds us that it is always a learning process. I see from your picture that you have a Timeless Razor bowl. I get very nice lathers with mine. Regardless of the shave, I hope your day has been looking up.

  3. Nice pickup! You could always PIF it to a newbie. Perhaps Charlie, @wristwatchb. :happy097::happy102:

    SRS # 891 - Gemini Shave - Wholly Kaw King of Oud/ C V H/Sawdust CreationStudio Old Cahaba

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: C V Heljestrand 14. 7/8” Camel Bone Scales
Brush: Sawdust Creation Studio Old Cahaba
Lather: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
Aftershave: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Today is the first day of the Gemini Theme for most of this month. I will use the same set up for two consecutive days, excluding Sunday’s.
Additionally, I will use just two soaps and their respective aftershaves through the month. Sunday’s will be reserved for variety from the den.

The SDC boar whipped up a glorious lather.

The scent of the soap is very enjoy with a less darker scent of the Oud. The scent profile is as follows: “King of Oud combines the freshness of Bergamot and scents of Rose and Pink Pepper sitting on a bed of Oud, Patchouli and Vetiver for a fragrance that is both fresh and richly aromatic.”

I did my usual three passes with wonderful results. A majority of my shaves each month are with the straight razors in my den. I just love the challenge and the zen of the straight razor shave. I am tempted to strive for at least 20 shaves with the straights this month since July may be more geared towards the DE or Se persuasion.

Hope you all have fine shaves this month.

  12. Be careful with that gizmo, Joe! :whacky024:

That's actually a nice starter set for a new shaver. I bet you'll find someone to bless with it.

I hope you are doing well, my friend. All good here in the backwoods. :)

  18. I'm all set for Oud, as I have the Agadir A.S., and later will get Stoylin's Agar soap. Maybe in "Oudtober" :). Agadir's chief feature IS Oud.
