MMMonday, June 5th 2023, MicroMatic Monday use any ASR razor that uses a Gem blade any day of the week.

Razor :Gem Junior 1912 Parade variant with plastic baton tapered handle- Mfg 1943 variant, tame mid range, well made to last generations. I find the 1912 ASR razors variants great to use and give a excellent shaves with usually no issues.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(4) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Yaqi Green, nice fragrance soap(Lacoste green cologne ) with excellent lather qualities. Yaqi commissioned MSC S.A to bring in their line of soaps and Aftershave splashes.
Brush : Yaqi "Casino clubs" 26mm timber wolf synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi green(Lacoste green cologne scent) with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Gem Jr 1912 Parade with baton handle + a Gem PTFE blade. Very nice shaving with this handle and head combination.

I just had to have a second Shave with The N3, as it is an extremely good Razor to Shave with.In fact it is my favourite long handled Schick and works better for me than the favoured Adjustables. With only two days growth to contend with a quick Shave was attained without any hassle, and with a quality finish.

Shave 25 with the Bunny V2.2 and 18 with the Personna 74. Great shave. Unfortunately I'm almost out of this soap which is one of my favorite scents. Plenty of the Aftershave left though.

 

SE SOTD, Friday, June 9th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC type with a Yaqi Milano 316 polished handle- Mfg 2021>, tame mid range, simple clamping system, small head parts(I work over a wash cloth) + affordable. One of my best razors for shaving, very nimble to work the beard. I get great results 95%> of the time just like this morning with wonderful close comfortable shave.
Blade : Schick Proline (2) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity for a AC blade. Good pairing with the Yaqi Excalibur.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice unique scent with excellent lather qualities. The more I use it the more enjoy it seems.
Brush : Yaqi "Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic, excellent lather generator, Luxury cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. The handle and knot are perfect for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=Excellent stellar close shave with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Perm-sharp blade.
