Another fabulous Calle Ocho shave with the Japanese straight razor. My face is super smooth even hours post shave. The alum report was silent. The PAA Harvest Moon aftershave’s scent lingers as I am still getting subtle whiffs many hours later. The scent profile of the splash is as follows: “Oud (Agarwood), Green Tobacco, Black Currant, Tobacco Absolute, Hay Absolute, Peru Balsam, Smoke, Spanish Moss, White Sage.”

24 hours, super mid-week shave
Same face prep and same hardware as yesterday 6 June 2023, Derby Premium (2)

Different software....
Time to bring out the Sterling’s British leather and attack the @Trigger method. It works folks!
¾ scoop into the Timeless lather bowl
60 CW and 60 CCW, repeat five times, dribbling in some water each time, resulted in great slick shiny lather. I will scoop out a little more soap next time
This does not dry out the same as some other lathers, and provides a nice cushion and great post shave feel

Post shave: warm and cold water rinse, el cheapo Brut a/s and some Proraso facial balm
(I want to finish both of these asap, ok, not great, but don’t believe in wasting stuff)
