Lather Catcher Sunday's Cold Water Shave Cold Water Rinse Proraso Red Jayaruh #443 Synthetic Superior Lather Catcher Personna GEM SS PTFE CWR Lustray Spice After Shave The Proraso Red Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #443 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
MMMonday, June 12th, 2023. Micromatic Monday, any ASE razor that uses a Gem blade, any day of the week. Razor : Ever-Ready (ASR) 1924(AKA-Shovel head)- Mfg 1924-33, mid range, well built and finish is great for a 100 year old razor. The razor was designed around the old thicker splined blade so I use a shim (RIGS) underneath the modern blade spline to tilt it more to smooth it out nicely. This is a nice razor with a different way of loading a blade with a hinged flip top cap and loaded from the rear. Close comfortable shave this morning! Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (5) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle. Soap : TOBS Herbal Sandalwood, nice fragranced Herbal soap 6-7/10 for my nose + excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi "Black marble" 24mm 3band silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Big dense knot with a large splay, handle works very well in my hands. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Witch hazel beard cleanse + Ogallala Bayrum and Sandal wood+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent close shave with my Ever-ready 1924 razor with a Gem coated blade. Have some great shaves!

My shave from last night. Razor: Just arrived C.V. Heljestrand Safety Razor Pre/Posr: 3P Brush: Re-knotted Boar. Soap: Vitos Red. An amazing shave. Vintage wedge lather catchers are fantastic. The blade for this honed up with the most satisfying edge.
Wed 14th June Stirling Syn 26mm MWF Schick “ O “ Clone Schick S/S Twin- Japan ( 1 ) Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion Had a bit of a disaster when loading a fresh blade, the ejector hooked up a second blade so the fresh blade got severely misaligned. I had to abort the load and discard the partially loaded blade. The Razor was now empty, but I was able to inser a fresh blade. After this fraught situation, the Shave went off very well and I got a nice close finish.

SE SOTD, Friday, June 16th 2023 Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm,AC with a Yaqi Milano handle - Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple clamping system for holding down the blade, small head parts(I work over a wash cloth when assembling). This affordable razor has been my go to for my AC style razors and has not let me down other than once. My shaves are excellent 95%>+ time for my desired out comes. This morning was no different with a excellent stellar shave with no issues. Great daily driver for myself. Blade : Schick proline p 30 (3) sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity. Soap : Arko stick, interesting scent that is controversial with excellent lather qualities. I still have the 3 sticks I bought 6yrs ago. I like to use it once in a while but not my favorite soap scent but still OK. Brush : Yaqi "barbershop" 24mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great splay scrubber + great lather painter. Very enjoyable handle with a excellent knot for my shaving needs. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave: Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi SE Excalibur with a Schick proline p30 blade. Wonderful close enjoyable shave this morning with some old shave products that do not get used much as they should! Have some great shaves!
Shave 27-20 and 28-21 with the Bunny V2.2 and a Personna 74 went quite well. This blade just keeps going. Also I really like the scent and performance of this sample of Hendricks Classics Gunslinger.
