The Col. Conk Amber Shave Soap lathered well with the SlimGem Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Mercur Progress Razor and a Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Here’s my report:

My 50s Super Speed is definitely the best razor I have - no matter how rushed I am it always gives me magnificent shaves with no issues of any kind. My Dad, of dearly loved and cherished memory gave it to me as a birthday gift when I turned 14 and I just love it. The Delftse Donderslag soap by Scheermonnik is from the Netherlands and although I believe it’s vegan based it lathers so thick, rich, creamy, as well as super slick with lots of protection, it has a beautiful spicy, exotic scent, and it’s very skin friendly. The De Vergulde Hand balm also smells great, it gives lots of soothing as well as moisturizing, and it’s slightly mentholated. The Florida Water aftershave smells so nice and old school but it moves out of the way to let the Bleu de Chanel take over with its gorgeous fragrance that I love so much. Three glorious passes did me proud with a cracking good BBS shave that was so pleasurable!

SE SOTD, Friday, June 16th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm,AC with a Yaqi Milano handle - Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple clamping system for holding down the blade, small head parts(I work over a wash cloth when assembling). This affordable razor has been my go to for my AC style razors and has not let me down other than once. My shaves are excellent 95%>+ time for my desired out comes. This morning was no different with a excellent stellar shave with no issues. Great daily driver for myself.
Blade : Schick proline p 30 (3) sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Arko stick, interesting scent that is controversial with excellent lather qualities. I still have the 3 sticks I bought 6yrs ago. I like to use it once in a while but not my favorite soap scent but still OK.
Brush : Yaqi "barbershop" 24mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great splay scrubber + great lather painter. Very enjoyable handle with a excellent knot for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi SE Excalibur with a Schick proline p30 blade. Wonderful close enjoyable shave this morning with some old shave products that do not get used much as they should!
