1. Different strokes for different folks. I'm just partial to Simpson because they have a certain appeal to me that I don't find with any other brush, except possibly a Vulfix or an EJ.

  5. Simpson Best is a great knot and offered in many sizes/brushes so you could get another Simpson or even look into what Shavemac offers, which I find-in my sample one one- to be great as well.

  6. Cleaned up the thread. I'm partial to Shavemac as well, but this is a Simpson's brush thread. If people want to talk about how much better one brush brand is over another, they can start a new thread.
  7. I'm planning to buy 3 more Simpsons (a keyhole, a milk churn and a major) and call it good at 21. (unless I decide to try a Chubby 2 in Super or Manchurian).

  8. A milk churn Simpson brush sounds good. Ivory or butterscotch, or other? I have a Duke 2 on my radar.

  9. Ivory. I highly recommend the Duke 2 it's a stout little brush that is awesome for face lathering.

  17. i must admit, while i've not afforded to drop $200+ in one go on a brush ,the best badger simpsons i paid $60 -85 for are excellent.they put one in a different place is the best way to describe them.especially when the rest of the set up is old school English.:):eatdrink047:even if i did get a windfall,i would buy a chubby 2 in best i think.

  18. Absolutely. I turned an homage to the Milk Churn because I admired Joseph’s so much:
