    Felt like a bit of a challenge

    Razor = Merkur 37C slant
    Blade = Gillette Platinum blue (3), could I take this to day 3? Might be an opportunity to match with a slant…
    Cream = TOBS Eton College Collection, subtle scent, very soft cream
    Bowl = Timeless
    Brush: Synthetic Razorock Plissoft
    Aftershave care = Face wash with remaining lather, Warm and Cold Water rinse, alum, Rinse, Thayers, rinse, Pinaud Clubman sample

    As it happened:
    Although I thought I was taking more care with the slant than my favoured Gillette razors (in my head anyway), but muscle memory kicked in and I soon felt a sharp nick in Pass 1 in the flat left side of my cheek. Wake up call! Stop, checked, no blood. Hmm Weird, there must be skin blemish there that the close combs just glide over.
    Duly chastised, I took more care and used way less pressure
    Only 2 passes were needed, with a few judicious touch ups
    Only used WTG and XTG, which seemed perfectly adequate with this razor
    Was not game to go ATG at any stage, neither was this needed

    Results = Super smooth shave, overall smoother than usual, despite only two passes. Would call this a DFS despite the nick
    In fact the chin area which usually needs multiple strokes turned out fine
    Challenging Adams apple areas were only subjected to XTG as usual. Because of the direction of growth there, WTG is not feasible for me

    Nice efficient shave, but attention needs to be paid. The 37C won’t be daily driver for me at this stage but seems great for longer beardage

    Thought = At first I didn’t like the softness of the TOBS Eton College when I scooped some into the bowl, but wow this does lather up well (and quickly) and provides some nice slickness until the end

    Efficiency is in the Razor, Aggression is in the the Hand

    Shaving Recipe for today.

    Prep: Warm shower:/ Radox Feel Active Sea Salt & Lemongrass Shower Gel.

    Pre:
    Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
    Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Omega 10066
    Face Lather.
    Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
    Lather: La Toja Shave Stick.
    Blade: Chinese Gillette Super Blue. (D2)
    Razor: 1940's Thin Handle Gillette Flat Bottom Tech. (ENG)

    Post:
    Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Floid Mentolado Vigoroso ASL./ Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

    The La Toja shave stick which provided a wonderful slick protective lather in a short space of time enough for the full shave without re-applying the stick to my face, leaving a great post shave feel.

    A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

    My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)
