Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ Radox Feel Active Sea Salt & Lemongrass Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 11047 'Mixed Midget' Badger/Boar.
Face Lather.
Lather: Fine Fresh Vetiver Classic Shaving Soap.
Blade: Mers Super Shave X Platinum. (D2)
Razor: Parker 55SL Semi-Slant.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Blue Stratos ASL./Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

Everything in my shave set up worked together superbly this morning resulting in a enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups comfortable smooth shave with no errors to report.

The Super Shave X Platinum pairs together wonderfully with the Parker 55SL.

The star of the shave this morning was the Omega 11047 'Mixed Midget' Badger/Boar brush which performed superbly building up a slick protective lather in a short space of time...A great shaving brush that I should and will use more in feature shaves.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

This Delmy soap is the most el cheapo of all the el cheapos - it’s from India and even a homeless man could afford it because it sells literally for pennies but it’s a TERRIFIC soap. The container is very small but the performance is huge - the scent is so old school barbershoppy and beautiful, (right up my alley) the cute little Frank Mini synthetic brush I used it churned it up into thick, rich, cushiony lather. The only gripe I have is if you could call it a gripe is that it’s not too skin friendly but I’ve seen worse from soaps that are much more expensive. The Aveeno moisturizer made up for the lack of skincare, and the Polar Ice aftershave went on with its delightful scent that’s also so old school barbershoppy just like this soap. Two passes were enough to give me a most enjoyable BBS shave!

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #426 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Jr. Bar Lather Catcher Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday Schick shave, July 2nd 2023

Razor : Schick E2 injector, Canadian variant- Mfg 1930'-40's, mid range, well built and designed to last generations with a little care. One of my most enjoyable Schick injectors. Had a great shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector(8) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier- nice scented soap (Aramis clone) + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "black Marble" 24mm Tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. This brush was my first Yaqi brush and it was purchased on defect sale about 3 yrs ago, it is one of my best brushes and got me interested in the Yaqi brand.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier AS + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick E2 with a Personna coated blade.
