Are you brand loyal to certain brands? Soaps, aftershaves, etc? What would cause you to switch brands, and why?
The company's core values are not my concern. Price has an influence, but not a significant issue unless they have gone off the deep end. I want a good value with an effective shave soap with great scents and above average customer service. If the company were involved in a scandal it might be an influence depending on the details. The country origins could be an issue. I don't like the idea of punishing individual businesses for the failings of governments.
I agree punishing a company for the sins of the country's leaders doesn't make sense to me; hence I still purchase Russian made blades, but to each their own.
Not really loyal to brand. I'm true loyal to formula. When I like it, I stick with It. Unfortunatelly, in the last 30+yrs I've lost all my favs. Good thing is few new ones are great replacement. BTW, always with lower q/p ratio!!!
I would like to disagree with you about "always with lower q/p ratio!!!" Yes, I really would, but ... I can't.
Good point. Today, with a rasonable comfort in the way of living, I'm not sure about the concept ... "completely self-sufficient". I'm a drug dealer (actually licenced, as pharamcist), and the bad actors are doing a very great job. So good that the good practice of the few actors is fading away quickly. Changing few rules ... and globalization does the work. Even in last cave on earth!!! Sad but true.
Nor really brand loyal. I kinda flit around to what I like that day/week. Although I could be loyal if Williams Shave Soap were still being made.
I tend to be very brand loyal and generally hesitate to change allegiances unless faced with a particular issue. Such issues can include but aren’t necessarily limited to; the product is no longer made to previous standards (or not at all), poor customer service, there’s a similar and better product available, the company has offended my sensibilities in some way.
f the company no longer sells the product, sooner or later I would have to change brands. Not much brand loyalty here, but loyalty to a given product if it is good quality and good value for the money.
Only with my blades. I tested numerous brands before concluding that this brand (Feather) gave me the best results.
Not so much brand as product loyal in most things, including shaving. Product no longer made or reformulated in a way I don't like would be the main reason to quit using a shaving product. Poor customer service usually only arises if a product is defective in some way anyway, so the train is already heading in the wrong direction. And unless truly egregious, company core values or scandals is rarely an issue. Country of origin... Yes, that might be a factor. Under government sanctions - not so much unless I happen to agree with the reason for the sanctions and their extent. Many of my favourite blades are Russian-made, for example, but I certainly won't be buying any more of them for the foreseeable future... (The immigrant population in my Canadian province has always had a significant Ukrainian component, now including many recent refugees.)
This obviously is a shaving forum and this thread began by mentioning shaving items so pardon my slight hijack. I have so many soaps, creams, and aftershaves I can’t possibly be brand loyal. However, in other areas… Jiff Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter Duke’s Mayonnaise Coke WIX oil filters Dickies work socks Lawn Boy push mowers Dawn dish soap I’ll stop there. That’s probably enough hijacking for now.
I'd say I am most loyal to Clubman products(mainly aftershaves). Stoylin would be a close second. Those companies will hear from me always. Well, that is, unless I have enough of both to last me a long while.
Its hard to be brand loyal these days, with importation being as haywire as it is. And with how many of the soap companies are changing formulas left and right, its hard to be loyal. I like my cella, but the smell is still enough to set me off. So an unscented cella would be perfect for my needs. And id end up with a few kilos in the freezer. I am still devoted to Erasmic in red pack, and if i ever find some on ebay or etsy ill buy it all up. I actually have a special fund for it. But what will make me change products, is quality and reformulation. Company politics are a major sticking point. Its why i dont purchase alot of things. Why provide money to companies that provide money to terrorist groups that want to kill me?
