  3. July 18 SOTA

    Good afternoon.

    Gillette Heritage Razor
Gillette Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (3,4)
    JR #290 Cashmere Brush
    Chiseled Face Cryogen SS
Proraso Green AS Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 23.5 hrs
    Dome Turf: 2 days

    20230718_164102.jpg

I decided to use the same setup as yesterday's shave, but went with my large metal shaving bowl.
    Here's my lather:

    20230718_164514.jpg

As you can see, I made enough to do a headshave as well. Did 3 passes on face and 2 passes on the dome. I usually need 3 passes for my dome, but with only 2 days growth 2 passes were sufficient.
Did get a late weep on my mouth during my 3 pass, but decided to do a non-shaving 4th pass to see if the menthol stop the weep. As I was doing my 1st pass on my headshave, the 4th face lather did the trick to stop the weep on my mouth. Decided to wipe off the lather on my face and rub it on my head to prepare for my second pass. I also picked up the last remnants of lather from the bowl to give me more dome coverage. Did get a slight nick on the back of the dome. BBS was the result on the dome and face.
The alum feedback was only at the cut on my head. Applied the Proraso Green aftershave to end this nice shave. I will probably use Cella for tomorrow's shave. Take care.

    DE Shave # 473 - Ernie “ELF” Borraga Week - Merkur 37c

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Merkur 37c Slant
    Blade: Shark Platinum (5)
Brush: Leo Frilot ECWS 2018 Ghost Trails
    Lather: Lather Bros. Calle Ocho
    Aftershave: Pinuad Citrus Musk
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Today shave featured Ernie’s go to razor for all of his shaves, the 37c. For me, the 37c is the longest tenured razor in either of my dens. I have to say that once you dial it in you are rewarded with fabulous shaves every time. Today was no exception.

I had a busy morning before heading out to lunch with my mother and cousin. Early morning rise for the X3 Bar Pull workout, a trip to pick up a load of firewood then a warm shower and shave. I have to say that loading the wood into the back off my Jeep and off loading was on tremendous workout considering this morning’s humidity. Can you say Beastmode?
