Same here, once that email notice popped up and that sale hit, I couldn't restrain myself from pulling the trigger on that Chubby 2 in Super.
Not to further enable you but St. James of London is having a 30% off clearance sale on their Simpsons and these are grey box-era "Made in England" Simpsons.
I bought 2 Polos from them this past month and both were those with best badger knots that look and feel like super or silvertip.
Received the Colonel in best this week and took the pic after one shave. Great brush. Used MWF tallow for a great shave. Today I ordered a CH2 synthetic. Looking forward to receiving it.

Simpson CH2 synthetic arrived yesterday and I gave it a test lather to check it out. Definitely a short loft compared to what I’m used to in synthetic brushes. I’ll use it tomorrow morning. I’ll see if I like it. I do like the wide and heavy handle.

I just ordered this brush yesterday as well. I currently have a Berkeley 46 Best, Chubby 1 Super, Chubby 2 Best, Duke 3 Best. A Keyhole 4 best on the way in addition to Polo 12 Best. Oh, and a I also have a Case C1 for travel. Lol I’m excited to try the large Polo 12 because I head shave every day and it’s a lot of real estate to cover.
