  4. Thanks. I am familiar with aliexpress because you can
    get Yaqi brushes from them. I am surprised that you got a decent Chinese straight because I am thinking it must be Gold Dollar substandard quality.

    I was due for a headshave so I brought out my Mühle R102 with a blade that only had 1 use. I have used this razor with Feather blades and I was good with it, but I would suggest using less aggressive blades with this tool. I went to the Family Dollar Store to pickup Witch Hazel. It's been awhile since I have used this product. I like this brand because you don't get that typical strong witch hazel scent. I went with a face lather today because this brush is very soft and therefore, it is not conducive to bowl lathering in my opinion.

    Due to the über aggressiveness of the R102, I only needed two passes on my face and dome with minor touchups. BBS was the result, but got a tiny weep on my left temple. The alum feedback was more noticeable on my dome then my face and neck, but nothing that I could not tolerate. Applied witch hazel and then the matching aftershave to finish the session. I am happy with this shave. Take care.

    23 hours, today the Cella played nicely with the Omega bristle brush and lather bowl, thick and slick
    First time out(for me) with the rather worn user grade Gillette "New/Tech" #25
    I still had the Personna blade left from the average shave on 27th, thought it only fair to give it another chance
    3 passes and touch ups, circumventing the small red spot in lower right neck
    Reasonably good shave, stopping when I felt things getting a bit rough
    Did better around the lower chin area with micro-chipping and minimal residual
    No damage currently visible
    Post = the usual
    ASL = Brut
    Scent = Guerlain pour homme EdP

    Overall result 8/10, clean and shaven…
    … but Shave Satisfaction level only 7/10
    The Razor and Blade combo didn’t feel right for me with ~ 1 day growth: I will park these both for a while

    July is nearly closing out on us, hoping you are all having a super Sunday

  19. Today's shave was a nice one. Most every part of my face and neck checked in as great. I did have one Knick, I don't recall listing my shave in SOS, so I'll do it here Nivea Bodywash to prepare, Razorock Lime Burst for the shave, and Clubman Pinaud Reserve Gent's Gin for the A.S. I closed with Halston cologne. The Knick happened at the midpoint of South Porcupine. Harmless, but it happened. Shux. That Clubman Gent's Gin is nice-might reorder ot, but the current bottle still has a ways to go. With the humidity gone, I have some surprises out for next week. Most Outstanding for the shave.
