He’s a handsome little man for sure. I know you guys are enjoying the time with him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This one belonged to my Great-Uncle Percy. It is at least a century old, though it’s not of great monetary value. It was an inexpensive watch in its day, with a stainless steel case, but it still keeps time. Pretty cool, as was my uncle.
When I retired, I put my watches away and only occasionally wore an Apple Watch when cycling. Now that I’m unretiring, I pulled these two Casio Wave Ceptor Solar watches out and got them charged up and eventually synced to the atomic clock. The silver bezel model is easier for my aging eyes to see so it will likely be the daily wear. I bought the silver one first but it took 4 months to arrive. I cancelled the order , but it came anyway from Japan, just a long time after I ordered it. I ordered the black one when I cancelled the other and it arrived in just a few days. So now I have 2. It’s taking a bit of getting used to having something on my wrist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
About an hour after I took that picture, I realized that the silver watch was not on the correct time zone! So I had to push buttons and figure that out. It's correct now. It would have been quite epic to show up an hour late for a date!
I “traded” my 20 year old son for the Casio Solar wave ceptor I let him borrow a couple of years ago. This one is easier for me to see. He ‘took’ the silver bezel watch pictured previously in exchange. He likes it better as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
simple and functional, not flash and ornate.very cool..nice score.the gearbox with the the square cut noisy gears is usually the one at the finish line.
I have been getting more interested in the smaller watch producers. I bought this H20 watch earlier this year and the more I wear it the more I like it. This is their Green Ocean model which features a Swiss ETA movement and mokume gane steel case. Much like shaving the artisans usually provide better service. When I checked my order I saw the delivery address was wrong, so I emailed them, but no reply. So I decided to give them a call, and the watch maker (owner) answered the phone. He corrected the address and we a nice talk about watches. This is my second watch from him. This watch is even lumed on the back!
