DE SOTD, Thursday, June 8th 2023 Razor : Yaqi 2nd Generation or (V2) Mellon head, polished 316 SS with a Yaqi Tear drop 316 SS polished handle- Mfg 2023>, mid range + excellent machining and nice finish QC. Dual comb for excellent lather reaching surface of skin. I really like the audio feed back on this razor, it has a sizzling sound as the whiskers are being snipped. Had a excellent close shave this morning. Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp(1), sharp and smooth with great longevity. Top tier blade of my top 6. Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice clean unique scent with excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi "Aqua" high mountain silvertip 3band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave :Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper = excellent shave with my Yaqi Mellon head 316SS with a Gillette Perma sharp blade. Have some great shaves!
Grand Shave King Self Lubricating Razor with a PAA DOC top cap. Original cap from GSK was minus a tooth. The PAA cap works just fine and actually makes the very mild GSK quite a bit more aggressive. Wonderful shave. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

I've got a few open comb razors. Wolfman Gurrilla (aggressive) Schick magazine repeating razor (travel) Segal 1-pc "Unimatic" razor (rarely used) Old Tech (maybe 1920- ish?) And a tiny lady's razor (blades not available) I use the Wolfman, the Schick, and the old Tech a lot. I have to manufacture my own blades for the Segal, so it only gets used a couple times a year. The little ladies razor is just a novelty (and is undeniably cute). - Bax
