Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Sagrada Familia Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Frankensoap: Erasmic Shaving Soap+Cussons Imperial Leather Bar Soap+Van Der Hagen Scented Luxury Shaving Soap.
Razor: Yaqi DOC Head/Schmidt R10 Handle.- Rapira Platinum Lux. (D1)

Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils + 3 Menthol Crystals, Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Denim Original ASL./ Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend...Continuing with the Yaqi DOC Head/Schmidt R10 Handle Frankenrazor with all my SOTD sets up this week using another of my infrequently used Frankensoap creations.

Out of all the Franken-razors that I have mixed & matched this one is my favourite. The weight of the Schmidt handle gives it a good heft this could easily be my daily shave razor as it's non-aggressive, but at the same time gives a comfortable DFS/ BBS, and pairs together with every blade choice that i have matched it up with so far. What more could I ask for.

An enjoyable close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth cool and smelling divine.

Another frigidly cold setup that rivals the one I used yesterday. My dear friend Abir’s Absolute Zero soap and aftershave are two menthol atom bombs that smell so nice. The soap’s vegan formula (tallow is prohibited in India) gives it wonderful lather that’s so easy to work up, there’s plenty of slickness, the menthol sensation can freeze a polar bear out of the Arctic, and it’s so skin friendly. The Prep always delivers beautifully on the extra postshave care that I need, and the Absolute Zero aftershave toner is non alcohol based - it freezes like mad and it’s so soothing. The scent of this soap and aftershave is aquatic with powerful menthol fumes. Three passes gave me a super duper BBS shave but this Rapira blade is showing some signs of fatigue - let’s see how it performs tomorrow.

Shave 2 on this Japanese Razor. Very smooth and enjoyable 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. This razor is made with some excellent steel, and it has a fine geometry.

Razor : Yaqi "Flip side" dual safety bar- Mfg 2020>, mid range, dual safety bar (open comb & SB) Very nice change up, first Dual safety bar I own(OC side is the milder of the 2). I get great results with this razor and enjoy using it, won it on the Yaqi live sale raffle months ago when they had those sales. Had a comfortable no issues close shave.
Blade : GSB (4) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier blade for myself.
Soap : Speick stick(tallow)- very nice mild spicy scent with some of the best lather qualities of any soap I have used.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka express" 26mm husky synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather generator. Big handle, bought this on the defective sale, Yaqi must of been experimenting with different knot combinations because they had a lot different combinations of handle to knot never seen before. Handle showed where knot was glued into socket of handle, not a big visual problem for myself but others might not enjoy their brush as much.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda cologne AS with with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Yaqi flipside dual safety bar with a GSB blade. The comb side works perfect on my chin area.
