  9. Fabulous shave Chris. I guess you are trying to figure out the order of the balm-aftershave you prefer.

  11. The components of the shave appear to be outstanding. Hard to visualize though. The cuts keep striving to diminish your end result. Back on the horse tomorrow.

I was overdue using this straight. I picked VdH Select Soap because I wanted a simple and lightly scented shave soap that I can pair with any aftershave. I was rummaging through my den and picked the Zaharoff Sig. Series. This bottle is hardly used. The scent is very mild and that's why I hardly use it. It is a masculine, cologne scent that didn't do it for me as well as its matching soap.
    Here's my lather:

I finally figured out how to show the medallion on the base of the brush. Lol! This is my favorite brush because it gives me a nice lather and it denotes my faith. @Jayaruh Jim did a great job producing this brush.

I did 3 passes for a very close and comfortable shave with no glitches.
The alum feedback was non-existent. Splashed on the aftershave to end this session. Take care.

Very nice. I wondered why the local salvage place sells empty scent bottles...cool idea

Thanks Joe, yes indeed. Can't figure out why the Bay Rum was so stinging the 1st time I used it. So I thought I would mix things up a bit to try and find out why.

Beautiful shave, lather and setup Joe. That is one neat looking brush from Jim @Jayaruh you have there. What a great idea.

  19. thank you Chris.i try to decant aftershaves into glass bottles when i get them.i understand the benefit of plastic bottles(broken glass) but they smell so much better without the cheap plastic tinge..:):eatdrink047:
