this is the all brass version.yours looks like the aluminum version.they came either way.

One of my first Op shop find in Jan this year, no carboard box though

Might have to keep my eyes open for the heavier one

very cool.it's the aluminum one and it's identical to my coronation razor. they also made one without the crown on the case..

Your coronation set is also Aluminium?

I find it shaves well, but being light has a tendency to skip over rather than cut through the stubble on the first pass.

I might just have to try a different handle or look for a brass and nickel version, Hmm, just when I thought I had enough razors!

yes sir.aluminum.,and agreed.i do like the heavier ones more.they are easily attainable,especially in your neck of the woods.anything ball end with the 1950 - 62 type cap/plate will be the same.the etching might differ slightly but they shave the same.and are quite inexpensive.
