Joe, the cataloging of your shavette shaves is most impressive. I tried once (with the very same Parker shavette actually). It was not pretty. I do really enjoy my safety razors
Sept 6 SOTA Good afternoon. Schick I-1 Injector Ted Pella Injector Blade (13?) JR #290 Cashmere Brush Tabac Shave Stick Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS (not pictured) Stirling Alum Block Modessa Witch Hazel Growth Beard Growth: 28 hrs I picked up my milder Schick Injector for today’s shave. I also decided to bowl lather the Tabac stick for the very first time. I did shake the excess water from the brush and loaded the Tabac by keeping the brush stationary. I usually move the brush when I load before I face lather; but I decided to do everything different with Tabac. Besides, it is not messy loading the brush this way. I must say that bowl lathering Tabac takes more work than usual, but I got a nice lather. See below: I did a 3 pass shave for a smooth and comfortable BBS result. There wasn't any blood or irritation during this session. Did get slight feedback. Witch hazel was applied to calm my skin. Yes, I forgot to place the aftershave in the pic. It happens. Anyway, I splashed on the AQ Ice Blue to finish. Take care.
I have never seen an SE razor that looks like a DE and uses split DE blades. Thanks for sharing Charlie.
