very cool.i clean my canadian 1911-13 pocket edition semi regularly.i got it recently for $15 at the local annual antique fair.it looks good but isn't perfect.i like them to look in as used condition,not neglegted..

 

Steer me in the right direction. What’s your method?

 

nothing special,just a touch of toothpaste on an old t shirt,bit of a rub and dawn/toothbrush clean up after.not super polished but clean.

Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Wrights Coal Tar Bar Soap.
Brush:Anbbas Boar.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Williams Mug Shaving Soap.
Blade: Gem Personna PTFE SS. (D1.)
Razor: Ever Ready 1912. (ENG)

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Boots Freshwood ASL + ASB.

Sunday morning shave.

Everything in my shave this morning paired together wonderfully.

SE razors truly are fantastic shaving tools.... I have mentioned it many times before in my posts if I had known how wonderful smooth, & efficient they were especially Injector razors when I first ventured into the wonderful world of traditional wet shaving I probably wouldn't have bought a DE razor as they provide and give me everything I require for a close comfortable shave.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick- ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Boots Freshwood ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

The Arko Stick Shave Soap lathered well with Ever-Ready C-40 Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole whipped up such amazing lather from the beautiful Vintage Spice soap and that wonderful Shulton Old Spice scent filled my bathroom. The Aveeno moisturizer soothed my skin so well and the Vintage Spice aftershave went on with its gorgeous Shulton Old Spice scent - no stinging or burning because it’s witch hazel based. Three passes did the job superbly for me - another dynamite BBS shave that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Here my Sunday Shave (10.09.2023)


Pre: PAA Cube // Razor: Homelike Shaving Start 1.7 // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: MSC Deep Blue // Brush: Shavemac // Aftershave: 4711 Portugal

The razor is loan of a friendly member of our Shaving Group here in Germany. What a Monster!!!

Blade Gap 1.7 and that is exactly how it shaved. The R41 could be envy. This is a thoroughly beast. After 2 passes i was completely BBS. The result was, that both of my cheeks were entirely red and i had 2-3 bloodspots. Smooth, yes, gentle…just the way my skin found it acceptable.

Definitely no razor for me. I like the handling and the build quality a lot, but this is way too much blade gap for me. My skin is a sissy

Nevertheless the shave was a 10 out of 10 because only two passes were enough to get Dolphin smooth.

I've been shuffling around on my shave choices, as it's hard to tell when it will be warm or cool these days. Anayway, today(Sun). I went with:

Real fine shave this morning. 2 passes. Zero across the board on Cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. I should have done better attacking that rough area of mine(jawline under right ear)but that gives me something extra to wori on tomorrow. I got SOME of it, just not ALL of it. No further damage on yesterday's Adams Apple area Knick. The Osage felt lovely. No cologne today. Super Duper Outstanding.
