Thanks. The Shore Shave brush is a looker and was a gift from a dear friend here on the 30DC.

The shells were brought back from a beach trip my son took a few months ago from the Florida pan handle area.

They were in a tray on a table on our patio. They did make a great backdrop.

    Take care.

"George" sounds like an excellent name for a titanium razor. "Shield Stomper" sounds like an axe wielded by a Viking Berserker...

Regarding the reference to "saloon blades" -- I have seen the half DE blades called "salon blades" for years in reference to their use in beauty salons and barbershops as shaper blades. I have only seen them called "saloon blades" on packages of blades from non-English-speaking (and non-European) countries. Specifically, I have seen "saloon blades" from the Shark and Lord brands that are both made in Egypt. I have always assumed that it was a mistake and they actually meant "salon".

Thank you John..yes Wright's coal tar bar soap is very traditional. However, this is the new version still using the Wright's name. The coal tar oil has be replaced with tea tree oil after it was banned. The tea tree oil is beneficial to the skin. It makes a great pre & post shave application.

I've been an off and on participant of the 30DC. I've been DE shaving exclusively for about a dozen years now and had never really given much thought about alum until I continued to see them mentioned on this thread.

Well, it takes longer in some cases than others, but eventually the Alum Lobbyist Organization - aka the Alum Mafia - gets us all...

Yes, tea tree oil itself is a very traditional herbal antibacterial / antibiotic skin remedy. I often use a bit myself on cuts and inflammations in place of a modern commercial non-prescription antibiotic ointment like Polysporin.
