Hey, Jim. I have an Aristocrat 46-47, too, but mine has a blue case. I wonder if the color of the case has anything to do with the year of manufacture.
I honestly don't know about that. The '46-'47 Crat is one of my favorite razors and have been collecting ones with various cases. The middle one has a black exterior. Now I have to add a blue one to add to my collection.............
You, my friend, are a razor hoarder. HA! The '46-'47 was my first vintage acquisition, and I had no idea what a find I had made. It was my birth era razor. I even gave it to my son before I knew that significance. He never used it, and luckily for me, he gave it back to me. It had been well used and had a lot of plate loss. I have since had it gold plated.
