  3. Thank you John. I have nine shave with the soap. The soap base allows me to scoop a small almond sized amount of soap and roll it into a ball. I manage to roll the remaining soap in 9 sample balls.

Usually, with all soaps, I weigh the container in grams and subtract the estimated weight of the container to get weight of the soap in the container. Usually, the container is about 25 grams. My scoops of soap are in the range of 1.25 - 1.5 grams so I am able to get a good estimate on the number of shaves remaining. All part of keeping the entire shaving experience fresh as well as challenging. I like to see how close I come to my estimated Edmund Fitzgerald date.

    Yaqi Romulus razor.
    Feather Professional blade.
    Razorock 400 Plissoft synthetic brush.
    Mitchell’s Wool Fat soap.
    Timeless Razor shave bowl.
    Royal Copenhagen cologne.

Lovely Fat Friday shave. Three wonderful passes.

I have learned that I do not need to load as much Wool Fat soap as my other soaps and I have to spend a little more time whipping up the Fat. The results are some of the best lather out there.

    Take care everyone!

  8. Great "still life" photo!

Interesting approach -- it seems like everyone agrees that the Fat can be a difficult soap to use ... and everyone has a different way of using it to make sure it lathers well...
  9. Aha! Now I understand how you are able to guess so well how long your soaps will last -- you cheat! ;)

  11. Not the best shave on this back 9 of Fine Latigo Soap&Aftershave, but I'll take it. Great job again loading the brush. Clean and clear along the cheeks, North Porcupine, and Cactus Nation. Problems with the other areas. The cut at South Porcupine increased in blood, but I contained it. Once again I skimmed over the area at the right sideburn/jawline(but I redid it during breakfast). Shaves including Knize 10(granted, it's a dupe of K 10)shouldn't be bad. Shux. Pretty Outstanding. I can do better than that.
