Day 44 RR OC Hawk w Feather Pro Omega Evo / Burl&Resin Asylum/SV Colonia Historic Embargo AS This Hawk ‘Jaws’ gets good results, it just doesn’t feel that smooth getting there. I’m pretty sure I’m going to keep it. Have a great day all!
Thank you Jason. Just dumb luck on my part. I do need to get back to trying to take different photos like in the past. However, I have grown to lazy.
Tuesday, September 19 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson Emperor 3~~Star/Gem~~Eufros Tobacco ASB Took a page from Clint's playbook and went with the Ethos Bay Rum. Quality soap, mos def® As promised, sticking with the Eufros ASB until gone.
September 20, 2023 Shield Predator Gem PTFE Shavemac Flat Top D01 Ethos Bay Rum Shave Soap Barberry Coast Bay Rum Aftershave Happy Wednesday Everyone. The soap is sinking very fast now. The donut hole is large enough that I need to scrap the soap into the middle. I am off to take my Mom for her dentist appointment and lunch afterwards. I hope everyone has a great day. Take Care
Wednesday, September 20 Valobra Fougère~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic Badger~~Cobra Classic/?~~Vintage Paco Rabanne Pour Homme The challenge of a 3017 is exhilarating, however, one doesn't use some really fantastic products along the way. Case in point is the Valobra. Wowsers what a sublime soap. The Cobra Classic bit me on my lower-left neck... I'll call it "user-error", but I binned the blade afterwards. Stank today is the classic fougère from Paco Rabanne. Second only to Brut.
Oh, I'm fastin' and I'm loosenin'...no instruction needed. All I'm getting for it are: 1. Excellent Lathers 2. A top view of a seemingly bottomless triple milled puck 3. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome...
Apparently, yes. When you are dealing with a miserly latherer, Maestro, it is best to avoid eye contact and move along quietly.
September 21, 2023 Blackland Sabre Lvl 1 Gem PTFE Zenith B25 Ethos Bay Rum Shave Soap PAA Atomic Bay Rum Happy Friday Jr; almost there. I decided to weigh the last night. Thus far I have used 92 grams of soap. I think this one will be done within 15 shaves more or less. Going back to the Sabre this morning confirmed my guess. The Sabre is smoother than the Predator but a touch less efficient. Either way both are fantastic razors. I hope everyone has a great day. Take care.

Day 46 RR Hawk Jaws w Feather Pro Oumo Flattop/ Rubberset 400 #3 Asylum/SV Colonia Thayers Dior Eau Sauvage I enjoyed the Hawk well enough this week. Onto something else tomorrow.
The weekday summary: I think the soap level is going down but my goal of finishing this one in September is not looking good. This week was dedicated to big brushes, I think I need to up my game to monster brushes if I am going to finish this one in September. The razors deployed this week were Dovo Masters, Ali's Blades, Grim Butcher, and my gold Joris. I guess the Joris didn't want to be seen hanging out with a bunch of straights. For the lovers of stank here is what I was over spraying this week. The peeling label is a decant of Creed Green Irish Tweed.
I'm sorta/kinda 3017ing my after shaves. I say this because I try to use one about 4 or 5 times a week, but sneek in another one 2 or 3 times. I finished my RiteAid/Daylogic Arctic Blue (Aqua Velva Knockoff) about a week ago. Now I'm trying to finish a bottle Barbasol (Skin Bracer Knockoff). (I think I have 3 full bottles left in my stock.) I also have the Real McCoy Aqua Velva and Skin Bracer bottles that have plenty left. This merely scratches the surface of my after shave stock. I never have 2 blades going at once -- I never use a new blade until I've finished the last one. I don't, however, try to finish a tuck of one brand without rotating to other brands.
