Slantemper, Wednesday, 2023

Razor : Yaqi SLOPE torsional slant 316 SS with a Yaqi coated Brass handle, Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range. Well designed + accurate machining & finished is adequate for my shaving needs. Had a close shave this morning.
Blade : (4), sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier blade for myself.
Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, nice mild tobacco & vanilla scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi "Aqua" 24mm high mountain 3band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips with some light prickleyness when new but has come around nicely, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 2 tiny chin weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi slope slant with a GSB blade.

Face Lather.
Lather: Vie-Long Shave Stick.
Blade: Wilkinson Sword Classic.(D4)
Razor: Merkur 39C.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Floïd SE Mentolado Vigaroso ASL./ Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

Last summer shave and the beginning of the 2023 autumn equinox.

A comfortable smooth shave to finish the summer off in style.

Throughout the week the Wilkinson Sword Classic blade has performed superbly throughout the week feeling smooth & efficient...I will carry on using them next week.
The Vie-Long shave stick/horsehair brush duo performed wonderfully providing a slick protective lather for the full shave without re-apply it to my face.

The performance & post shave feel from this shave stick is absolutely superb. A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.

Even though I’m much more of a soap user since about seven or eight years there are still certain creams that I really love and this Palmolive Menthol is one of them. This is the Italian version and it has such a beautiful minty scent, a small dab on both cheeks is enough to give fabulous lather, it has a most delightful menthol sensation, and the skincare is so typically Palmolive - soothing as well as comfortable. The Prep and the Alt Innsbruck aftershave added lots of extra postshave care as well as lots of additional menthol goodness, and finally the lovely Aramis fragrance which was a gift from my aunt. Three passes delivered a wonderful BBS shave that was so pleasurable!

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #446 Badger/Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Razor and a J.A. Henckels wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Aqua Velva Iced Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
