Fine shave this morning. While continuing with Gillette Foamy, I called an audible at the sink of scrimmage, changing the A.S. to Gabels Original. Gabels has a similar fragrance to Mennen Skin-Bracer, but SB is cooler, of course*. One pass. Zeroes for Cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Good job on the cheks&sideburns. Same with North and South Porcupine. Again(as yesterday)I should have done better down at Cactus Nation(left too much astroturf to be a top-graded shave). Post aftershave, I fimished with AB Millionaire Cologne(4 men). Most Outstanding. *-course I was talkinabout the Gabels Original, not my other 2 Gabels.
Yaqi Romulus razor head. Razorock thin bar stainless steel handle. Feather Professional blade. Delin handle synthetic brush. Mitchell’s Wool Fat soap. Timeless Razor shave bowl. Royal Copenhagen cologne. Awesome Fat Friday shave. Three very nice passes with no drama. Happy Friday everyone!
Easy peasy first run with the Stick Schick. Just like I remember from years ago. I’ll admit it took a few strokes to get used to how light the razor is. Two quick passes and good to go. Prep: Shower Lather: Bigelow Brush: Synthetic Blade: Chick (1) Razor: Stick Schick Post: cool rinse, alum and TSD Lime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There's been a lot of controversary over the actual year of the soap, but there is NO conroversary over the fact that is has Natural Lanolin(the proof is in the name itself-Mitchell's WOOL Fat).
Just to add, a few minutes after I finished shaving I realized that my neck is nice and clean. Most razors just sort of get the neck whiskers but at least on this first run, the Stick did a real nice job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sept 22 SOTM Headshave Good morning. Assured for Men Razor by Dollar Tree Assured for Men DE Blade (4) MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush PAA K Rex Emporium SS Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Stirling Alum Block Modessa Witch Hazel Dome Turf: 2.5 days I didn't want to wait to do a headshave this evening so I went for it this morning. I picked a very aggressive razor loaded with a used, but still sharp blade. I figure that my scabs from my last headshave would be removed nicely without any serious bleeding. Mission was accomplished because there wasn't any bleeding. Still have wound marks, but they are much smaller and should be gone by the next headshave. Picked out the PAA soap because it is slick and maybe would minimize and reopening of my cuts. Honestly, I am not a fan of PAA for a few reasons and I wouldn't be having this brand in my den, but Joe @JACarbone graciously piffed it to me. Thanks again Joe. Here's my lather: Did 3 passes and I ended with a cueball smooth shave without incident. The alum was mostly silent. Splashed on the cooling Aqua Velva Ice Blue aftershave and I am good to go. Take care.
