DE SOTD, Friday, September 22 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC type with a Milano 316 SSP handle- Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple clamping system + small head parts( I assemble above a wash cloth) makes for a nimble razor to work the beard area. I get great results from my Excalibur and it is pretty much in permanent rotation in my large rotation of razors. Had a stellar comfortable close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Schick proline p30- sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. excellent combination with the Excalibur it seems.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda, nice mild lavender with a slight mint scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Chianti's" 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, Gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Nice brush to work the beard.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close stellar comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC type with a Schick proline blade.

A new eclectic shave set up to start the first day of Autumn 2023.

The Merkur 34C & Gillette Guard mowed through my face & head stubble effortlessly making my first day of autumn face & head shave a pleasurable experience...A great inexpensive shave set up that all worked together superbly.
Another enjoyable close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #446 Badger/Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Henry Taylor Straight Razor gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Aqua Velva Iced Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cold and beautiful - this Glacial Electric Sheep soap has a b..ch of a menthol sensation like all the other Glacials, it’s a mutton tallow based soap so the lather whips up so thick, rich, creamy, mega slick and protective, not to mention how soothing the postshave care is. The Prep and the Snake Bite aftershave were a perfect finishing combo. Last but not least a couple of sprays of Aramis and I’ll soon be off to the synagogue for the morning prayers. My Canadian Tech delivered a dynamite three pass BBS shave that was so much fun!
