I sent it out to Scott @DaltonGang and got a new bevel on it but Scott wasn't pleased with it. It shaves just okay now. I think this will be my last shave with it. I bought it for practically nothing years ago. It was a rusty mess. I sanded and then honed it and it was okay for a good while. It just lost its magic somehow.
Or, you got spoiled with all the top tier razors you have been using, and now this one can't compare.

Sotd 9-23-23 I'm not sure what to call this razor it's like a hybrid kamisori made by hikari , but man oh man did it deliver the goods!! Paa phantom aerolite with ap shave co independent knot and sterling haverford for the suds and smells!!
Does it have an asymetric bevel? I think it's a great idea. Western straight razors with folding scales are trickier to handle than a straight handle. Japanese razors are the best.
It does but not like a traditional kamisori , I'll snap a few pics and post them up , you are right though the japanese razors are so nimble I was impressed with that blade.

Sotd 9-25-23 Ability razors 1500 series for the weapon of choice, tested out a new soap and aftershave combo , Phoenix artisan accoutrements sangre de drago. Really impressed with this soap especially for it being a vegan base and it smells killer!! Ds cosmetic g7 synthetic for the painting.
I got to try out the Captain Nemo Absolute Zero today. @Yehuda D is a big fan so I was pretty sure I would not be disappointed and I was not. Nice mild mentholated scent and pure bracing cold on the skin for a very refreshing shave.
