I now realize that I have now 3017’ed all my tubs that were well used. Any 3017 focus now (including the imminent Mikes focus) will involve tubs that are nearly full (artisan soaps) or might as well be (3x milled soaps).

Wednesday, September 27 AoS Lavender~~Simpson MC~~Gem Clog-Pruf/Gem~~Lavande 44 Not pictured, but used---Eufros Tobacco ASB. Wonderful lather with the AoS/Milk Churn combo. Nice, close shave with the Clog-Pruf. Stankin' good with the Lavande 44

Today starts the Korean holiday, Chusok, which is our Thanksgiving holiday. It is based on the lunar calandar so it changes every year and marks harvest time. It is one of the two biggest holidays and traditionally people return to their hometown. It is great for me because Seoul becomes empty and there is no traffic. Next Tuesday is National Foundation day, so the goverment whose popularity is very low declared Monday a holiday too. So I don't go back to work until next Wednesday. To celebreate I decided to go big, A monsterous Kent BK12 brush paired with a 9/8 smiling Mike Martinez blade. To make sure the stank matched the going big theme I went with Musc Kublaï Khan. The tub is getting lower and lower but I will not finish it by the end of Sep as I hoped.
September 28. 2023 Yaqi Katana DLC Gillette 7 O’clock Black Brad Sears Synthetic Antica Barbieria Colla Shaving Soap SV Felce Aromatica Happy Thursday, aka Friday Eve. It has been a very long time since I used the Katana. The Katana uses a half DE blade like the Twig but that is the only similarity. The Katana is not nearly as forgiving a razor. However, if I do my part the shave is smooth and super close. If I had to pick one it would be the Katana. This might put the Twig in the outgoing pile. I decided to go with the Antica Barbieria Colla shave soap. I recall not being fond of the soap so I wanted to use it several days in a row to see if my impression changes. If not the soap will be gone as well. The SV Felce Aromatica brought a smile to my face this morning. The scent is certainly one of my favorites. I will continue to use it daily until its gone.
