Oct 1 SOTA Shavette Shave #492 Dovo Personna Hairshaper Blade (fresh, 2) Rockwell Synthetic Brush Lakewood Lard Lass SS Fine Accoutrements Platinum AS Stirling Alum Block Modessa Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 23 hrs Dome Turf: 3 days I decided to do a head and face shave with my Dovo shavette. I went with a fresh blade to start the month in a daring way, LOL! These Personna Hairshaper Blades are extremely sharp, especially when they are fresh. I only needed two passes on my face to get a very smooth, close shave. I did 2 passes on the dome, but I nicked myself on my second pass. I don't use mirrors to shave my head so it's quite tricky to do it with an open blade vs a safety razor and so the probability of cutting myself is higher. Therefore, I took out my Mühle R102 OC to get the hard places. I didn't need to cut myself any further. Lol! Ended with cueball smooth dome. As expected, I did get alum feedback on my neck and it was a real zing and on my dome where I nicked myself. Splashed on the witch hazel and the Fine Accoutrements Platinum AS to end the first shave of the month. Take care.
I’m going to use this setup for the month with the intent being every other day face shaves. I received this OC from @chazt and he thought it might be a Fatip rebrand to SV. I just know it works for my face but only have about 6 or 7 shaves with it. I really like the weight and glide it gives. It put it to work today with a 3 day stubble and it did just great for a Sunday shave. Prep: shower and face wash Lather: Bigelow Brush: synthetic Razor: SV OC Blade: Personna (1) Post: cool rinse, alum (little feedback) and TSD Lime. I think that bottle has about a week left in it. 2 passes and socially acceptable results. My passes are from top to bottom then bottom to top. Basically WTG and ATG. I forgot to add - I will be diverting from the OC when the Gillette Toggle I purchased arrives. I'll use it for at least once during OCtober. It's supposed to be tomorrow. I used my new to me Gillette NEW LC to mow down 5+ days of scalp stuff. Popped an Astra in it and 2 passes were sufficient. Ought to be good until Wednesday. Zero touch up needed. We'll see what tomorrow feels like.

Shavette Shave #393 Dovo Personna Hairshaper Blade (3) Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush Cella SS Fine Accoutrements Platinum AS Stirling Alum Block Modessa Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 24 hrs I went with my Dovo once again. The only change from yesterday's setup was the brush and soap. Although the soap's scent is gone, I still like it because of the lathers protective qualities. Here's today's lather: I only needed 2 passes because this blade is über sharp and my stubble was shorter than usual from yesterday's shave with the Personna Hairshaper. There wasn't any blood and achieved a BBS shave. The alum gave some slight feedback. Finished with the application of the witch hazel and the FA Platinum aftershave. Take care.
