Back around 2014 I was buying up a lot of Fatboy Razors for under $20, and most around $15. I soaked, tuned up, cleaned, and polished them. I got pretty good at it. So, now I have maybe 20-24 of them squirreled away. Also, several slims for under $10. Prices have definitely gone up.

I've focused on buying lots and collections, adding pieces to my collection and reselling the rest. Really keeps the collection cost down, but time consuming. Time well spent I'd say as I enjoy doing it, and the "value" of my collection is 10x what I've spent. Laying out thousands recently on a serial toggle certainly didn't help though!

I've removed my searches for vintage Gillettes from my saved searches for now. It was getting exhausting; there are just too many new listings everyday to sort through.
BTW, did I mention I need another razor like a hole in the head?

nd the definition of good/nice condition has really gone down in quality as well in the last 6 years or so.

I remember when a razor soldin the original gillette card board box, with the inner wrapping paper, and the original blades was merely "good condition". or for example

Vintage Gillette Double Edge Razor with Case Lot 23-63-E | eBay 6 eyars ago that would be shaveable ok condition, look at the photos. NOW that razor is actually nicer condition than many i see selling as NOS.

    this grouping
THREE VINTAGE DOUBLE-EDGE RAZORS WITH CASES | eBay

shows a grouping of interesting razors. the plain tto with the gunk and rust 6 years ago would have been a "sold as is, needs heavy cleaning". NOW its a "good condition" razor. The adjustable and krona are actually immaculate . ANd 6 years ago with case would have been listed at 50$ each, minimum.

I have a similar condition Krona, i actually was the one who took the original factory wrapper band off of it to open it. NOt a great shaver.

  6. its the angle. sort of like a gillete milord with a head shaped like an ever ready SE... not exactly altruistic or easy to angle.
