  5. Fabulous foam shave Barry. Of course, I have used the canned stuff and never counted how many shaves I can get from a can.

  6. Thank you Joe..I should get quite a few from both cans if I only put them into my rotation every so often. The main thing is I'm using them up instead of just letting them gather dust in my shaving storage drawers.

  7. Great Throwback shave this morning. ;-). The Bill Neumann soap is slowly making a dent, but still quite a long ways to go. Skin food and a pleasant manly scent for this one. In future shaves, I'm going to try a "left-to-right" motion as I swirl the soap with the brush. I am a leftie anyway. Nice work all over. 2 passes. No cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. BN Hesrtwood for the aftershave(same as the soap), and closed with the AB Millonaire/Men cologne. Back 9 tomorrow. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: RazoRock GC .84 JAWS
    Blade: Shark Platinum
Brush: Jayaruh 337 with Omega #49 Boar
    Lather: Lather Bros. Calle Ocho

Gorgeous weather to go with a phenomenal shave. Tow more shaves to go with the Calle Ocho. Looks like Tuesday is the big day for Edmund.

The JAWS performed beautifully. Three passes to a super smooth shave without any incidents. Can’t complain one iota.

    Have a great day gentlemen.

I have to say that I'm picking up the scent a little better. It's not an exact dupe of Irish Spring, but it is the ballpark located in straightaway centerfield on the warning track. I will say the soap is slick. Here's my lather:

I refreshed the razor on my pasted strop. Did a 3 pass shave with pickups and without any drama. The alum was mostly silent. Finished the shave in my usual manner
  11. Awesome shave Joe.

  12. Shave this morning was good, but could have been much better(shoulda woulda, ahhhh you know the rest). One cut and one Knick(on each end of Porcupine Alley. No Polka-dots. The damage wasn't painful, they just kinda showed up. Nice work elsewhere. I wondered how shaving would be for after my fall yesterday. Was pretty routine, save for the redness, 2 passes. Very Outstanding.

    Good afternoon.

    Straight Razor Shave #493
    6/8 Thiers-Issard Spartacus
    Stirling Boar Brush
    PAA King R Emporium SS
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Modessa Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 24.5 hrs

This TI Spartacus is a wonderful straight. It just cuts my stubble without any trouble. I usually get really close comfortable shaves and this one was no exception. It was a 3 passer and I didn't have any issues of blood.

The soap provided a nice lather and I like the barbershop scent. I wish that it could be a little stronger. I rate the strength a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale. Here's my lather:

    20231006_164648.jpg

Surprisingly, I had zero feedback from the alum. I picked the P/C Classic aftershave because I wanted to pair it with the French razor. I figured French names would go together. Besides, the aftershave goes with the soap's scent. Yes, I did apply the witch hazel before the aftershave. Lol! I am quite pleased with this shave. Tomorrow, I will pick out one of my Dovo straights. I am not sure which one it will be. I have 24 hrs to decide. Take care.

This pitted Toggle is boxed and shipped to The Razor Emporium for a replate and revamp. I’ll be giving another go in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime I’ll be sticking with this OC for OCtober.
