Thank you John..I would recommend giving the Gillette guard a try if given the opportunity to do so. For a one blade cartridge razor it gives a remarkably good shave.

Had a nice 3 pass shave without errors. The result was smooth and comfortable one. Although the containers are the same, I decided to go for the orange scent. Like all of the TSD soaps, the scent is very mild. I barely pick up the scent. It contains lanolin which is great for the skin. However, some people are allergic to lanolin. Here's today's lather:



I didn't get any feedback from the alum so I must say that it definitely was a fine shave. Witch hazel and then the matching aftershave was splashed on my face and neck. The aftershave gave a slight scent. I forgot to shake it and that causes the scent to be more pronounced. Take care.

The final shave with the Calle Ocho was similar to many of the previous shaves with this soap - Outstanding! I did the usual three pass shave without incident. The Tuckmarr straight is an excellent razor.

On to the next soap. I could quite possibly Edmund Fitzgerald two more soaps before the end of the year. (Old Cahaba Brocha and possibly Wholly Kaw King of Oud.)

Great shave and woo-hoo on using up the Calle Ocho. I think the Wholly Kaw King of Oud would be the next one up for Fitzgeralding it. Of course, as in Password, you have the option to pass or play.

Sticking to my One Setup, the only change was the blade, somehow defaulting to the actual main purpose of this thread

(No change in Gillette Rocket HD, Stirling Barber shop, Omega 49, Timeless bowl, getting a bit boring, but hey, it works!)

Time to try a blade I haven't tried before = Bic Chrome Platinum, made in Greece
Wrapped in only one piece of paper, no wax/glue dots, no fuss, no hassle



Pleasantly surprised, smooth and sharp, another satisfying error free shave

Usual 3 passes with intra-pass buffing and ATG as and where needed

Better shave this morning than yesterday. I still left a little astroturf on Cactus Nation(neck), but not as much as yesterday. I might "Edmund Fitzgerald" the Gillette Gel but it wouldn't count, as it isn't close to be done. My terminology? I'll FLIP it. Cream/Foam is more to my liking when I take a break from wet shaving. Royal Copenhagen A.S. was nice. No cologne. Pretty Outstanding.

I take that back. That's the direction I use for the jawline.

This shave with the kamisori was top notch. Three passes, which easily would have been acceptable after one pass, has left my face super smooth. This may have been the best shave with the kami to date.
