Although this setup doesn’t qualify as a Grand Freeze it’s still pretty damned cold even if I say so myself. The Blend 47 soap and aftershave toner from Captain Nemo are fantastic - a very nice eucalyptus scent, like all of Abir’s soaps this one is vegan based, it gives awesome lather with lots of slickness, the menthol sensation is definitely stronger than Proraso Green, and it’s very skin friendly. The Blend 47 aftershave toner contains no alcohol so it doesn’t burn or sting, it smells as nice as the soap, and it’s strongly mentholated. A couple of splashes of the Aqua Velva and a couple of spritzes of the gorgeous Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I’m ready to basically do nothing today - the weather is rotten lately. Maybe later I’ll go out and visit my inlaws. Three glorious passes gave me a dynamite BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher and a '47 Rolls Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
