  3. Time for a quick return to OUDtober. I still have a bit of the Tuscan Oud soap left(Razorock). Nice work with it today. One cut, no Knicks/Polkadots. The Agadir A.S. helped neutralize it some. The cut happened at S. Porcupine(chin). Shux.....would have been a top-grade shave otherwise As it is, Most Outstanding.

  4. Lol! I used a lot of restraint. I kept within my budget. I have pictures and I met Leon. He is a great guy. Everyone was great. Talking with fellow wetshavers was just awesome. I met someone from Nesconset. He has the FB page Long Island Shaver and his name is Mike. Told him and a few others about this forum. They took screenshots. Met the You Tuber, the Inspector. Met Frank of Strike Gold Shaves and Pete Hendricks of HC & C. Pasteur’s gave out goody bags and I won a raffle. I will go into details later.

  6. Ok, I had a long day. I just got home. After I got off the train in my hometown in Port Jefferson, I went to my Singles Meeting. I had a fun and relaxing time that I sorely needed after spending the day at Pasteur's Pharmacy.
    Here's what I picked up:

    Seaforth Sea Spice Lime and Pedro Fiasco's Lemoncello Soaps and Aftershaves. @brit Gary recommended the Lemoncello and I wanted to try the Seaforth Sea Spice Lime.

    Everyone who attended the meet-up got a goody bag. This is what I got. Joe, I am gifting you the Areffa Soap Tarot Sample and matching aftershave.

    There were 3 raffles and I won this near mint condition Rolls Razor. Normally, you do not see these razors in this condition and with the original box.

    Strike Gold Shave's partner Nelson honed the blade and progressed to finish on a 50 K on a Purple Haze pasted strop. He said that he would hone this blade for free and that I would just have to pay the shipping. He lives in Staten Island. Leon, the owner of Pasteur's said that this razor was owned by a celebrity, but doesn't know who it was. The guy that gave him this razor vot it from this person's estate sale and didn't want to give any more info to Leon. Either way, it's a great piece and will let Leon know how it shaved. He will always remember me as the guy who has the celebrity Rolls Razor. I will download more pics tomorrow.
  7. absolutely awesome Joe.:happy096:looking forward to your reviews..:cool::bounce017: i have and love both of the lime soaps.again bravo..
  8. Thanks Gary. I know your on the west side of Canada and it would be difficult for you to visit this mecca for wetshavers. Maybe if the stars are aligned that you would be able to go to NYC and pass by Pasteur's. It's a small store, and his inventory was huge. I had a difficult time to choice. I was getting dizzy. Lol! Seriously, I was glad that I finally went and to think that I can get to NYC by train and then walk a couple of blocks to this wonderful establishment.
  9. yes sir.glad you had a fantastic time.as you should.you've got some seriously good product to try out...have fun..you only live once:):eatdrink047:enjoy it..as for singles clubs..aren't they for folks who only want to stay single.?:Di 'd try something else..;):eatdrink047:
  10. Oh my goodness, what a day. Sounds like a tiring day. Great looking raffle prize. That alone was worth going for the day!

    Such restraint on your purchases, Joe.
    Thanks for sharing.

  11. Lol! I hope Joe C. would take a trip to Pasteur's Pharmacy when they have their meetup in May. It will be outside with a BBQ per Leon.

  12. Thanks. I could have easily spent hundreds of dollars, but I have more than enough soap. Besides, I have supported his business before and have an account with him. Since he was kind enough to feed us and supply alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, then it's the least I can do. I got a 10 per cent discount for attending this meeting. I also got a discount on my train ticket being that I am 65 and older so I am pleased all around.

  15. 22 Oct 2023 OC October

    26 hours

    Prep = Cold Water Prep and shave, Proraso Pre shave
    Soap / Cream = TOBS Eton College
    Brush = Chubby 2
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Popular
    Blade = Bic (1)/ not shown
    Passes = 2 + tu
    Post = Usual,
    Damage = minor weeper lower right chin,
    Score = 9.5 / 10
    Comments = Super Sunday Shave, twice as much as soap as usual for this dense thick knot brush, easy latherer, great 2 passer. Only noticed the weeper after the clean up. Why? too much buffing with an OC with a fresh blade on only 1 day growth, that’s my guess

    Have a lovely Sunday one and all

  16. Thank you Chris...The Maca Root & Aloe Shave cream is a superb performer, however, it does has a love/hate fragrance though IMHO to my nose it's a clean fresh fragrance that pairs together with any chosen post shave application fragrance.
