Did a 3 pass shave for a nice comfortable smooth shave. The soap was a sample from the Pasteur's meetup goodie bag that was given to the attendees. This is a description from the website:

Scent Notes
Dupe of Tobacco Oud by Tom Ford is a Woody Spicy fragrance for women and men. Tobacco Oud was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Gillotin. The top note is Whiskey; the middle notes are Spicy Notes, Cinnamon and Coriander; the base notes are Tobacco, Agarwood (Oud), Sandalwood, Incense, Patchouli, Benzoin, Vanilla and Cedar.

The scent is strong coming out of the envelope, but it is gone when I lather my face. It's a pity because it does smell nice.

Had some alum feedback. Splashed on the Modessa Witch Hazel. I don't have the matching aftershave so I used the AV Ice Blue because it goes with everything.

Beautiful sunny day with one beautiful shave this morning. Another fine Lakewood Soap shave. The CV H straight is a solid performer delivering an uber smooth shave without an errors.

The sample soap had been pressed into the Crabtree & Evelyn scuttle several shaves ago. The Shore Shave Cool Mint Water synthetic slightly dampen loaded up the soap with a 30 second loading process. The brush met up with my Fine Accoutrements bowl to whip up a nice slick and thick lather. Just a glorious shave.

Looks like somebody is slowly heading to the Darkside. Too bad the scent is short lived. You know I enjoy my Oud shaves.

 

Wow five grams of soap, that must have made a boat load of lather. Great shave with the PAA Bay Rum.

Sunday November 5 late afternoon - Neutrogena No Variant November

Prep: Hot face wash with Aleppo 20% laurel bay oil soap
Razor: Supply 2.0 injector with SE comb plate / vintage US-made Schick Plus Platinum (18)
Soap: Neutrogena Skin Clearing Shave Cream
Brush: none
Lather Bowl: none
Post: rinse, alum, rinse and later Lucky Tiger After Shave & Face Tonic
Last shave: Friday afternoon - about 2 days



Still sticking with my Cunning Plan(TM) to Titanic the Neutrogena shave cream tube. It's about time it sank -- my photo is getting "vintage".

One pass was sufficient. The vintage Schick blade is still fine. It has 18 shaves on it now and exhibits no tugginess or drag! Alum was silent.

About half an hour after my shave, my face was feeling a bit dry and chapped, so I went back and splashed on the Lucky Tiger to fix that.

The Movember mustache is now quite present.
