    Lol! That's what I thought, 5 grams plus 20 mls water, enough to bath in:)

    Gotta shave the gord too.
    It takes about 3 or 4 times more lather to shave the gourd as to shave the face.

    But yeah, lots of goo.

    Revisiting an earlier shave from June. Last time I used this setup was with a 3 day growth and sustained some minor damage, so I was a bit cautious today

    Prep = Cold Water Prep and shave, although the tap water is more lukewarm at this time of year, Proraso Pre shave
    Soap / Cream = TOBS Eton College
    Brush = RR Plissoft
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Merkur 37C
    Blade = G Platinum, day 3
    Passes = Single
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, CWR, Thayers
    Scent = Proraso Cypress and Vetyver, modest scent today, I have a doctor’s visit late on
    Damage = none

    Score = 9/10
    Comments = surprised at how quickly this lathered up today with the synthetic and RO water. A bit more bubbly than I would normally accept e.g. with a tallow based soap, but was very slick, and did not dry out at all. The 3rd day of the Gillette Platinum surprised with its smoothness

    After yesterday’s super slick shave I decided to not push the boundaries today and see what I could achieve with just a single pass. Of course, a few minor touch ups were added but overall a very good shave. Nice croap, Nice razor, Nice blade

    Very nice shave Chris. What is the scent like f that soap?
    To reduce the pro-lather bubbles I tend to whip the lather in the mug a bit longer. Eventually they diminish.

    I can't believe that I accidentally erased my shave video. Sorry guys! I will have to make another one next Saturday

    Thanks Joe, it does have a citrusy scent but quite mild, refreshing during the shave but too mild to last, or compete with ASL or colognes

    I like the speed of lathering with this, and the synthetic brush, also it is a quicker clean up so ideal for a shorter shave.
    I didn't find the slight bubbles hindered the shave, but will certainly go at it longer next time I use this.

    Enjoy your Monday Joe.

    HeHe, thanks Joe, it's only taken a year or so, with some online TSD tuition. Grateful for this forum and all the help available to us newbies. It's a fun process.

    Good morning all.

    First thing, the numbers I gave as amount for shaving soap isn't reliable.
    Doing the same measurements this morning I got completely different numbers.
    Way different! By a factor of 75%.
    Even the scoop measurement was way different.
    And.
    I cannot find my calibration weights, well...
    Ahhhhhhh!
    So when I get my new scale and calibration weights I'll start over again.

    But in the meantime.

    My shave this morning was very similar to that of a few days ago. The only glitch was a glorified polka-dot on Cactus Nation. Real good elsewhere. The glass jar soap from Razorock did me just fine. 2 passes. Got a little too much A.S., on, as my hands smell "clovey"(face&neck too, for that matter). Very pleazed. I had the Plissoft 400 brush out, so there was; lots of Razorock in today's persuasion. Super Duper Outstanding.
