  1. I've had the P&G Old Spice Whitewater for a few years now, It was launched in the late 90's, unfortunately it is no longer available. It has a fresh aquatic scent, less spicy and warm than the original, but some of that Old Spice barbershop..I also have the P&G Old Spice "Swagger" ASL, launched in 2008 which is also in a transparent bottle, another that is no longer available.

  5. First shave on my trip. No photos.

    Prep: shower and face wash
    Lather: Derby shave stick
    Brush: synthetic
    Razor: Fat Handled Tech
    Blade: Rapira
    Post: warm rinse

5 days of scalp and neck stubble needed to be removed in order to have another day of touring.

1 easy pass on my neck and 2 on my scalp with minor touch ups and I’m good to go.

Now off to lunch with the my son’s in-laws and then more sights of Vienna!

  6. Lovely Barry! Can you describe the scent of the OS Whitewater? I’m somewhat of an OS aficionado and might need to try this…
  7. Great shaves everyone! As usual I’m busier on the weekend than during the week, due to the kids for the most part. Will get a late shave in today so I can do it in a rare, relaxed fashion.

  14. My setup for later today. It is raining now and 50 degrees! Winter weather advisory after 7PM. 4-7 inches of snow above 1500 feet. I live at 1700 feet!

I dug out my Vikings Blade "Meiji" adjustable set on 2
I am trying another shave on the Gillette "Silver Blue" and will see how far I can push these blades. I have not gotten nicked with it yet.
I am almost out of the Castle Forbes "Lavender" cream. I will order more!

  16. Joe, I think 3 shaves is the limit for those blades on my face. I even turned the razor up to 4! The Gillette Silver Blue did good on the first 2 shaves but, it made me work harder on the last shave. Still no cuts or nicks though.;)

  17. I think I will use the Feather DX for my next shave. I have not used it in a long while. I will use it with a Feather ProGuard blade.
Now, to decide what soap to use!
