It’s been a hyphenated couple of days ha ha. Sunday’s shave, Touron-Parisot, today’s shave was Hisha-Kaku (rook-bishop) Yasuki steel.

Vintage 7/8 Spartacus, great shaver. Love that hard old French steel.

Lovely shave with the MK 32 and lovely scents from the soap and after shave :happy036:Any thoughts on the best way to remove/mitigate that blemish on the tang? I’ve tried some Flitz but it didn’t do much.

Use some 800 grit sandpaper with water. Nice razor indeed!

Steve I have a few razors with the super extra on the scales , and I've found them all to be excellent what are the odds they're all the same company or did multiple companies use that moniker

I don’t really know, but my impression is that multiple companies used those scales. Whether the
Super Extra’ meant something is another question - if ‘Super Extra’ indicated Yasuki steel that would sort of make sense, but I have no idea if this is correct.

Well not surprised the royal razor delivered a royal shave! This is easily in the top 5 straights I've used. Compress_20231214_191022_2322.jpg Effortless Single pass bbs shave. @Steve56 I see why these were sought after!!

The Archaic Alchemy Eureka Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #423 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Lee Manufacturing 5/8 straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

There is something about a good near wedge that makes it the smoothest shave in my den :happy036:

…and a note to @Yehuda D: the underlying scent of the Vintage Spice is an excellent match with the scent of the classic Shulton Old Spice after shave. It may even be exact. The after shave is so much stronger, however, that it is hard to be that precise - at least for me. Thanks for recommending it :happy088:
