  2. Great product mix and choices for travel. I like the small pucks for that and often use the Pinuad for business trips..

  4. Thank you Barry. Curious to know what your recommendation would be for another lemon cologne to add. I really liked it.

I was looking at the Eyup Sabri Tuncer Lemon, but am open to suggestions..
  5. It's something I may try in February. It's generally a quiet month for me, but even then, this seems like a Sunday only endeavor to start out with. I will be looking for some advice after the new year if that's OK....

    DE Shave # 497 - DEcember Shave 6 of 15

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: The Smith Long Handle
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Pre-Shave: Pears Soap - Mint Extract
    Lather: Arko
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Musk
    Additional Care:
    Maggards Alum
    Nivea Sensitive Balm

Wonderful Arko shave this morning following an X3Bar Pull workout and a 20 minute work in the crisp Florida sunshine. Yes, it did get a little chilly here overnight. Interestingly, these Floridians do not like the cooler weather. I pass a few people on my work that were bundle up to the nines with their sky caps and winter coat while I had a “newsboy” hat, shorts and a sweatshirt.

After a 35 second load of the Arko soap to the brush and working the lather in the lather bowl I was rewarded with a nice slick lather. Three passes with the DE razor has left my face super smooth. Of the AV Musk is just the icing on the cake.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

  12. Yes, I definitely would say to do it when you are not in a rush and it's less hectic in your place. Usually, the weekend is the optimal window to start straight/shavette shaving. If I remember, I think that I referred you to a thread Shavette and Straight Shaving for Newbies that I started a few years back. Also, Joe Carbone @JACarbone is also a good source of info on open blade shaving.
