Prep: Warm shower:/ Imperial Leather Bergamot & Sea Salt Energising Body Wash.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Naples Tuxedo Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Erasmic Lather Shave Cream.
Blade: Statum Platinum Chrome. (D2)
Razor: King C. Gillette.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Brut Attraction Totale ASL./Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

Recently I've been revisiting various assortments that I haven't gave much attention to the Erasmic lather shave cream is just one of many shave creams that I've infrequently used in the past. The lather that this inexpensive cream provides is well above it's price bracket.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups close shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Thanks to @James Kleinkauf for the generous pif of the brass Micromatic Open Comb. The only other Gem currently in my rotation is a brass Ever-Ready 1912. The MMOC is considerably more aggressive and delivered a somewhat smooth and very efficient shave. Now I’m waiting for delivery of two more Gems, purchased on the Bay, a nickel finished Micromatic Open Comb and a Gem Push Button.

Hi Friends,

This is quite a bit „weird“ time these days. My beloved Grandmother passed away on the 29.11 and the funeral has been on 09.12…

My old lady has reached the age of 95 years. I miss her deeply because she was my „second mom“. I lived with her my first 6 years because my mom needed to go to work so my Grandma raised me a big part of my life. She was always there for my and we had a lot of fun together. Even now with my 42 years (and she with 95) we made jokes and and fun together. It will be hard to „celebrate“ Christmas without her. She was always there…Hope you are fine where you are right now Granny. All the best to you. May God have an Eye on you. I love you

Now on the shave…i received some new stuff…BBS Soaps from Greece and the Simpson Colonel in Best Badger.

The BBS Set has a bit of an unusual Barbershop scent but not in a bad way. You get the idea behind the scent, but if you know Mike ´s Barbershop, Soap Commander Honor or Chiseled Face Ghosttown Barber, this is a complete different thing. More on the „fruity“ and „fresh“ side but you definitely get the imagination of a typical Barbershop. Very nice. Very good glide and skinfeel. Good job here.

The razor is a loan from a friend. Love this razor. 2,5 passes and i was completely BBS. Brushwise i like the knot when you do painting motions, but when you are used to synthetic knot this Best Badger knot is a bit prickly swirling it on your face. Maybe it will be better within the next few shaves. Let´s see…

The Aftershave goes on very nice, has a lot of wonderful ingredients (such as the soap) and has the same scent like the soap maybe just a bit more powerful.

All in all a 10 out of 10

This Barnängens Parba stick is from Sweden and it’s over 100 years old but it still has such a beautiful old school scent as well as fabulous lather which is so easy to work up. The slickness of the lather is also great so I got great blade glide. I use this stick perhaps once a year because it’s impossible to find any other ones. This soap is also VERY good in the skincare department - another important thing about it. The Prep gave me a wonderful soothing, cooling, and moisturizing feeling while the Polar Ice aftershave went on with its delightful barbershop scent. Finally the lovely Aramis fragrance and I’m ready to enjoy a relaxing Sunday. Three passes gave me a magnificent, comfortable BBS shave that I enjoyed from start to finish!

The Archaic Alchemy Eureka Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #423 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher and a Henckels Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE Sunday, December 17th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm, with a Yaqi Milano SSP handle- Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple clamping system + small head parts (I assemble on wash cloth) make for a small nimble razor. I have used this razor well over 100 times over 2 years and it gives a decent shave 95%> of the time. Good daily driver IMO. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline (4) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Good combination with my Excalibur razor.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco mentholated- it still has the similar XXX original clean scent but mentholated + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka express" 26 mm Husky knot. Excellent lather generator, Heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, Gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Nice sale brush for what I paid. 26mm Yaqi knots are perfect for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX Fresco with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Schick proline.

There is something about a good near wedge that makes it the smoothest shave in my den

…and a note to @Yehuda D: the underlying scent of the Vintage Spice is an excellent match with the scent of the classic Shulton Old Spice after shave. It may even be exact. The after shave is so much stronger, however, that it is hard to be that precise - at least for me. Thanks for recommending it
