I saw the fat handle with a gold black beauty and ball end tech on fleabay. 8 photos in I realized "it's a Brazilian Goodwill"! I throw a bid for Goodwill $, and win at what I'd say was regular black beauty money. Score right?... but it wasn't until I had it in my hands that I realized Goodwill NEW baseplate with solid guards. Super score! Googling around the last day or so, the best I found was a mr-razor post from 2015 on one he just acquired. He was stumped as well. I tried throwing it a couple things like NEW Hybrid Tech, and it looks like mr. Razor came up with "Brazil Goodwill/Tech-Hybrid". This IS history lol. Really not seen or talked about previously. As I mentioned, Mr-Razor had posted one on another board in 2015. He stated it was given to him as an odd ball from a friend in Italy, and knew nothing about it. I bumped it with a post that I had come across this one, and it's only now been dubbed the Brazil Goodwill/Tech Hybrid. I still prefer NEW Hybrid Tech . As for other "history" I'll paraphrase another comment on my post saying The Brazil plant only made blades in the 1930's, and got some limited tooling in the early 1940's to produce razors. Now I'll theorize they got some NEW blanks and punched out some techs with what they had on hand with some creative tooling work? Who knows?! It belongs in a museum! Lol
