The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Semogue Owners Club Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the SlimGem 3D Injector Razor and a Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Clubman Pinaud Lilac Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

DE SOTD, Wednesday, December 3rd 2024

Razor : Yaqi 2nd generation Mellon 316 SSP head with a Yaqi Chippendale (Darwin looking) 316 SSP, Mfg 2023>, tame mid range to mid range. Excellent machining and finish QC on head and handle. Very enjoyable audio feed back, sizzling sound of whiskers being snipped. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp, sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier blade in my den.
Soap : Razorock XXX- nice unique clean scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Ferrari" 24mm boar bristle hair. Excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristles, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi 2nd Gen 316 SSP Mellon head with a Gillette Perma- sharp.

Here is my first shave in 2024 (03.01.2024)


Razor: Parker Variant OC // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: SV Felce Aromatica // Brush: Shavemac // Aftershave: Annemarie Börlind Aftershave Gel

The shave was a fine one. Not the best due to a light skin irritation. Don ´t know why i had this skin irritation but hey….it was a good one.

Parker did a fine job on this razor. Smooth and gentle bit i guess the blade was done. It was quite a bit harsh on few strokes.

Nevertheless i was BBS at the end of the 2,5 passes. The Aftershave Gel is highly recommended. A very little goes a long way and the skincare is fabulous. Great stuff.

All in all an 8 out of 10

Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Naples Tuxedo Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Nivea Men Sensitive Pro Ultra-Calming Liquid Shaving Cream.
Blade: Treet Platinum. (D2.)
Razor: Parker 87R.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Floid Mentolado Vigoroso ASL./Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

I haven't used the Nivea Men Sensitive Pro Ultra-Calming Liquid Shaving Cream which always provides a slick protective lather. It's gooey sloppy mess appearance on my first use left something to the imagination which put me in doubt about it. However, once I started to add a few drops of water to gooey mixture it exploded and became slick rich and protective with no drying out issues and superb post shave feel... It doesn't have much of a scent so It doesn't conflict with any post shave scent applications.

A wonderful effortless 2 pass +pickups close comfortable shave with the Parker 87R to finish my first week of 2024 superbly.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.
