January 9, 2024 Wolfman WR1 Ti OC (0.74 mm blade gap) with Triad Handle Gillette 7 O’clock Black Semogue Galahad La Toja Shave Stick La Toja Aftershave Happy Tuesday! It is a rainy mess here in the ATL. Storms and flash flooding in store for the remainder of the day. I really thought about working from home but decided it would be best to at least come into the office this morning. I grated the shave stick into a bowl for the 3017 challenge. This makes it easier for me to use with all my brushes. I weighed everything and started this morning with a net weight of the soap being 50 grams. The lather was just fantastic. Catch up time. These were the shaves and stanks from last week. The theme was TSD related brushes. Monday was the first day I felt my retirement, so I decided to go with my George Woshenholm razor that has the cool stars scales.... plus the extra stinky Aoud Cuir D'Arabie. The same day the donught of death appeared. I think maybe this puck of Tabac will fall in January.

Another excellent shave this morning. I am really enjoying the La Toja shave soap. Swati and I are visiting Spain this summer so I will pick up some more La Toja and LEA shave soaps and creams. Day 4 January 10th Gillette Goodwill w Nacet (1) Omega Pro / Walnut & Brass Fine Platinum Thayers JOHS Tobacco Bay I’m loving this focus so far. This is probably my favourite soap base, truth be told. So why am I using it all up with a focus? Well, it will be a few months of fantastic lathers…and, I have pucks of the same base on the go in L’Orange Noir and American Blend. Plus unopened pucks of L’Orange Noir and Fresh Vetiver on top of that. The razor is another fave. Great everything today.
Wednesday, January 10 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson "The Hive"~~Gillette New LC/Feather~~West Indies Bay Rum Missed shaving yesterday, so the New LC/Feather had some serious stubble to remove. Beautiful, creamy lather, created with the able-bodied Simpson "The Hive". (Cheap Black lettering already wearing away) Splashed on a goodly amount of the West Indies Bay Rum for a finish with a flourish.

Thursday, January 11 Ethos Bay Rum~~Simpson The "Duke"~~Feather DX/Schick Proline~~Etat Libre d'Orange Secretions Magnifique Rockin' the Ethos. This 3017 is a goody. Feather DX is a formidable weapon. Unscathed, clean shave. Nice stank---ridiculous scent profile, which is entirely a marketing ploy.

Now that the La Toja is in a bowl and getting regular uses, I am tearing through the soap at a raid pace. I don't see this one last very long at all. It will be a repurchase for sure.
