Great shave John. I always add a little more water when I lather the face because I find that the lather gets slicker.
Thanks, gents! Yes, for my next few shaves, I will make a point of adding that extra splash of water to the brush while face lathering. See if it consistently improves my shave.
Great shaves gentlemen! Today I am dealing with a snowstorm that turned into an ice storm, a super long office day, a tree coming down on my back fence, and my son having a close to 103 degree fever. I did manage to get consecutive shave 17 in before all heck broke loose. Will catch up with a more detailed report tomorrow. Going to break out the Cella for the first time in a while… Hope you are all enjoying a somewhat less eventful day….
Jan 16 SOTA Good afternoon. Straight Razor Shave #520 7/8 Henckels Friodur. JR #290 Cashmere Brush Captain's Choice 45th Parallel SC and AS Stirling Alum Block Modessa Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 24 hrs I breezed through this shave and didn't do any damage. Lol! The Captain's Choice Shave Cream makes a nice lather, but it needs a lot of water. That's fine with me. I didn't need to much too get a slick lather. I did a 3 pass shave for a near BBS result. There wasn't any alum feedback and I finished this session with the witch hazel and aftershave. I will say that the cherry scent is not sweet, but it still is pleasant. Take care.
My two Prorasso Shave Foams are here-man I hope the aftershave I ordered will be a good match(a Prorasso, too).
