Prep: Warm shower:/Imperial Leather Lavender & Wild Iris Body Wash.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Eco Warrior Bergamot & lime Shaving Bar. (Old Recipe)
Razor: Parker 55SL Semi-Slant. (Face) - Statum Platinum Chrome. (D1)
Razor: Parker InjRzr. (Head/Dome) (Setting 4) - Personna Injector PTFE. (D4)

Post:

Early morning face & head shave.

First time bowl lathering the The Eco Warrior soap bar which provided a wonderful slick protective lather in a short space of time I normally rub the bar directly into my stubble like a shave stick, then build up a lather with a damp, not wet brush adding water to the tips of the brush to get the lather to the consistency that I prefer. The shaving bar creates a more creamier lather using a synthetic brush, than it does using a boar brush.

Another comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling cool smooth, & smelling divine.

The Tabac Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #446 Boar/Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Burham Safety Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My second time using this Autumn soap from Bioloijf which is made in the Netherlands and I really enjoyed it. The scent is so nice - definitely a bay rum type with spicy notes, it lathers great, and it gives excellent postshave care. The Aloe Vesta moisturizer gave me great soothing, and do I ever LOVE the scent of the Pinaud Bay Rum aftershave. Two passes with my Wilkinson Sword were sufficient for a terrific BBS shave that was so pleasurable!

ASRazor shave, Tuesday, January 23 2024

Razor : Ever-Ready streamline, 2nd generation- Mfg 1949-53, mid to upper mid range. The second generation had slight changes to base plate as compared to 1930's model it incorporated a machined closed comb safety bar for better drainage. The overall looks are unique eye candy and is one of the most interesting razor models to master of the ASR models IMO. I use a RIGS shim to mimic the old thicker splined blades of that era for more comfortable shaves(tilts the blade properly for that razor design IMO). Had a wonderful close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(10) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer rapier, very unique scent that is addictive( Aramis classic cologne mimic) + excellent lather qualities. Master soap creations S.A was commissioned by Yaqi for their soap and aftershave line of products.
Brush : Yaqi "Red Zebra" 26mm snow leopard synthetic knot. Excellent lather generator, heavenly, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Yaqi 26mm synthetic knots are awesome IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Ever-Ready streamline with a Gem coated blade. I like to use the Streamline razor when blade # of uses is high to get last last drop of life out that great blade!
