  5. Thanks Scott. I bought it a few years ago from a guy out West. I don't remember where he resided. He restored it and I had always wanted a wedge razor for my collection. It looked very good am the rest is history.

This is a "better late than never" post. My last shave was a couple days ago, knocking off almost a week of stubble.

One pass WTG on the face and ATG on the neck gave me a decent DFS. No errors, quiet alum. The Lucky Tiger provided a good finish.

    DE Shave # 511 - Birthday Shave

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Gillette Flare Tip SS (1959 E-1)
    Blade: Personna Lab Blues (2)
Brush: Sawdust Creation Studio Old Cahaba
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: Stirling Spice
    Aftershave: B & M Reserve Spice
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Excellent three pass shave with the birth year/quarter DE razor. Extremely close and comfortable three pass shave which resulted in a dolphin-like skin smoothness. Yes smooth and velveteen. Of course, the scent of the soap and splash bring me back to an earlier time. Just love the all around feeling this combination presents.

The plan for the day go to lunch my mother and sister. This evening I will be heading out to dinner with the missus and my little man.

Full Disclosure- We had a water main break down the street from me yesterday morning, and I had to drive both kids to school at different times. Then it was my son’s late martial arts night, so I did not get a shave in. I do not want to be another internet phony with no integrity, so putting it right out there...

The streak ends at 24 consecutive days, but I'm still nothing but happy. I proved to myself that my face issues are in the rearview mirror, so moving on to continue testing razors.

Had a nice old school shave today. The Fatip experiment has been a success, and I will move on to the last new razor of the month on Saturday…

Days shaving in January - 25
Current skin issues or irritation- None so far

    Have a great day everyone!
