SE Sunday shave, January 28th 2024

Razor : Yaqi SE Excalibur with a Yaqi Milano 316 SSP- Mfg 2021>, mild to tame mid range. Small head parts make it interesting to assemble, I assemble on a wash seems to be safest. Simple clamping system make for a great secure blade. One of my favorite SE razors.
Blade : Schick proline(2) sharp and smooth + reasonable longevity.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum sage and cedar, nice Bayrum scent with great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Mountain lake" 24mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. One of my better badgers that I enjoy + great handle.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum + Saddle wood splash some clove scent + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Schick proline blade.

The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #41 2-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Parker Variant Razor and a Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

That Frosted Bay Rum is such a terrific soap - the scent is gorgeous, and does it ever lather like a champ. It’s also got an awesome menthol feeling!

OMG, any colder and my face would have disintegrated - the Glacial Wintergreen trio is unimaginable in terms of menthol power. The scent is absolutely beautiful, the soap’s tallow formula promotes such awesome lather that has has the trademark Stirling slickness, the menthol sensation clobbers you mercilessly, (I love it!) and the skincare is perfecto. The matching balm and witch hazel are two other menthol atom balms with the same delightful scent and they provide lots of soothing. Finally, the lovely Givenchy Gentleman fragrance and I’m ready for the new week. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

Mighty fine start to the week, no nicks/no cuts/no errors, so all is well. I've used the Shield Predator a bit and have to admit that its become my preferred SE. Feels great in hand, very comfortable to use and gives a right dandy shave. Anyway, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
