    This was yesterday's shave.

An identical shave to my last shave - and last shave of Just Shaving January - except at the last minute, I added a splash of Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum to perk up a grey-looking day.

I did two passes although I only really needed one. The first pass was WTG everywhere, the second was XTG on my face and ATG on my neck. The result was a very smooth DFS. Not quite a BBS (likely wouldn't pass the cottonball test on my neck) but very close. No errors, quiet alum. The Clubman VIBR over top the lightly orange-scented Lucky Tiger was an excellent finish.

I will try to shave more often this month (Frequent February?) even if it's not really necessary for my work and wintertime social interactions.

Hope everyone has a great week!
  3. Thanks John. That's too bad you sold those vintage Gillette razors. However, you February shave plans sound awesome.
  4. Thanks again John. It's important to look professional when I am in teaching mode.
  5. Great shave and setup John. I appreciate your sentiments.

  9. Thanks, Joe.

Yes, I have had a lot of vintage and modern shaving items pass through my hands over the last decade or so. Most of the items I have sold (or donated to TSD draws or "paid forward" to new shavers) I haven't regretted at all. Those two refurbished and Cerakoted Gillette adjustables are sort of an exception. A bit. Occasionally. I still do have the SuperAdjustable 109 though. And if I ever miss them too badly, North Shore Razors in Hawaii is still around and does an excellent job refurbishing and refinishing vintage razors with the quite similar GunKote.

The truth is, I still have far more vintage razors than one shaver really "needs" in any reasonable meaning of that word. In fact, one of these days, I should get around to posting an absolutely massive For Sale list on the BST again...

  11. Thanks for the idea though, Joseph....."Mediocre" is a better adjective when the shave stinks.

  14. Well, I have under 30 razors and I think that's plenty for me. Lol! BTW, the shipping costs from Hawaii has got to be brutal.
