My wife was watching me while I was shaving and she was shocked how I didn’t destroy my face because I did it so fast - in fact I didn’t get even one weeper. My cute little Frank Mini brush whipped up awesome lather from the Delmy soap which is from India, it comes in a very small tub, it has such a nice old school barbershop scent that I love, it’s surprisingly very slick, although it doesn’t have the best postshave care but the Prep balm took great care of my skin afterwards. Finally the delightful scent of the Polar Ice aftershave made me smell like I just came out of a 1960s barbershop. All in all a terrific two pass BBS shave that I enjoyed a lot despite the rush because I woke up kind of late and I have a dental appointment.

Razor : Yaqi 2nd generation Mellon head 316 SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle- Mfg 2023>, tame mid to mid range. Machining and finish QC are excellent for my shaving needs. This is one of my favorites when dialed in + performs well with some blade feel. The audio feedback is what I enjoy mostly + results it offers. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Nacet (3) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice unique clean scent with excellent lather qualities. RR duplicated Irish creed scent they claimed at one time?
Brush : Omega 10005 22 mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft spit end bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Very nice brush when broke in IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi 2nd Gen Mellon 316 SSP head with a Gillette Nacet blade.

Here my last Shave for February (28.02.2024)


Razor: Occam´s SE // Blade: KAI Captain Titan Mild // Soap: RazoRock SmdF // Brush: Nightdiver´s Honeystick // Aftershave 1: Humphrey´s Grapefruit WH // Aftershave 2: RazoRock SmdF

What a fabulous shave this was. Took the Occam´s SE razor for a spin. A great decision.

On plate 2 the shave was mild, thoroughly and extremely smooth. Very very nice.

The soap with it´s fantastic, calming and elegant scent lathered up in no time in my shaving bowl. The lather was thick and creamy.

2,5 passes later i was completely BBS. Rinsed with hot and cold water and applied the Witch Hazel. After letting it soak in for a few moments i applied the Aftershave. What a wonderful scent…there were no stinging, so singing…nothing…just as when you would use pure water. Wow…

A fantastic shave to remember.

Definitely a 10 out of 10

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with Tom's Fuzzy Catcher and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Lemongrass Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
